Gratings and Structural Shapes

Pultruded Fiber glass structural shapes provide a combination of corrosion resistance and high strength along with dimensional stability and light weight standard shape include l bars, U channels, tubes, squares and round bars, flat sheets, channels angles etc.

Pultruded Product

Fiber pultruded products are manufactured from continuous glass fiber rovings and mats synthetic fiber, specialized corrosion barier tissues and thermosetting polymers such as vinyl esters, isophathlic polyeter resign and epoxies including fire retardant grades. Pultrusion is a continues moulding process utilizing glass and synthetic fiber reinforcement in a thermosetting polymer matrix. A combination of pre-selected reinforcement material is drawn through a bath where all of the material is thoroughly impregnated with liquid polymer resin. The wetted out fibrous material is preformed to the desired geometric shape. It is then pulled through the heated steel die. The final cure is achieved with in the die where the temperature and pulling speed are specificaally controlled. The solid laminated exits the die in to exact shape of the cavity as it continuously pulled by the pultrusion machine.
